Job Overview
The Team Lead is primarily responsible for overseeing and helping lead a team of direct labor associates in the manufacture and assembly of products, components and parts for custom Class B RV’s and Luxury Vehicles. Leading, coaching, and motivating team members to meet the expectations of the business unit concerning: Safety, Teamwork, Quality, Production, Cost, and 5S using lean practices are required. They must also maintain tidy work areas and follow detailed instructions in order to meet safety and quality requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Meet and follow all safety and quality requirements
- Computer knowledge: Must be able to interpret and understand drawings, Bills of materials and other verbal and written instructions
- Identify and report errors when found on Prints and Bills of Materials
- Maintain Accountability for Safety, Quality, Production, Cost, and 5S
- Insure proper employee training and matrix tracking weekly
- Coach, develop, instruct, train, motivate, and hold employees accountable
- Be on floor at start-up, shut-downs, and breaks to lead team
- Work with other members of the assembly process to complete coaches within the allotted time frame.
- Ability to problem solve and use root cause analysis for continuous improvement

Qualifications
- Minimum 2-5 years experience in lead/supervisory/management experience
- High school diploma required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Read, write, comprehend and verbally communicate in English
- Above average communication skills
- Capable of reading a tape measure and other measuring devices
- Attention to detail
- Ability to learn, utilize and promote Lean manufacturing techniques
- Good time management skills
- Cross functional and team leadership skill highly preferred
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- Good hand eye coordination
